Forthly exists so founders have a private place to think out loud. Privacy is not a feature — it is the product. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect, what we do with it, and what we will never do.
What we collect
We collect only what is needed to run your membership and your sessions: your name and email, account credentials, the notes and voice memos you choose to capture, your session metadata with your coach, and basic technical data (device, browser, IP) needed to keep the service secure.
How we use it
Your content is used to surface your own context to you and to your coach, inside your account. We use aggregate, non-identifying signals to operate and improve the service. We do not sell your data. We do not share it with employers, investors, or recruiters. We do not use your content to train third-party AI models.
Who can see your content
You and the coach you are matched with. A small number of vetted Forthly staff may access content when strictly required for support, security, or legal reasons, under confidentiality obligations. We will never disclose the substance of your sessions to anyone outside the room without your written consent, except where compelled by law.
How long we keep it
We retain your account and content for as long as your membership is active. You can export or delete your content at any time from settings. After deletion, copies are removed from active systems within 30 days and from backups within 90 days.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is least-privilege and audited. SOC 2 work is in flight. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your room as we would treat a clinical record.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data, and withdraw consent at any time. Email privacy@forthly.com and a human will respond.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will tell you before it takes effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the update.
